This is a lovely lead rope, made with the same quality as the Navy Blue sparkly Perri's lead rope I bought about 15 years ago.I have two complaints:1) There is no dimension description of the chain anywhere, so I had to guess based off of the photo. The chain looks proportional to the 1/2" lead rope in the photo, but is actually the same size as a regular sized rope with a chain. So, this won't fit my minis halter.2) The tape that is placed on the ends of the rope is almost IMPOSSIBLE to get off!! It's ridiculous how long it takes to get the tape off those cotton fibers without damaging them too much.I am very disappointed in this product because I purposely bought made in USA. The lead rope came apart in less than a week. When I compared to other ropes, the maker didn't clamp the rope in tight enough. Basic stuff if you make products for horses. Every lead rope I liked at is made with a tight clamp over the rope, this one is not and the rope comes out after light use. Just came loose when I was gently walking my horse in from the paddock. Unbelievable. The ropes are also shorter than usual and thinner. They look pretty but that's it.Well made product, I just wish the cotton rope part was about 1-2 feet longer. I guess I should have paid more attention to the overall length.Lead is very short. I ended up removing the chain and discarding the rope.This rope & Chain are not 10 feet as advertised. The chain is about 28 inches including the buckle. The rope is just 5 feet long. Total length is just a little over 7 feet. False advertisingSoft and durable. Exactly what I was looking for.Lead shank is great length for average horse to put over nose and then some link to cheek ring of halter. Lead is soft grip.The hook on the end of the chain is extremely difficult to open. I had to use two hands to pry it open. Even if it was easy to open, it's thin and looks like it's constructed cheaply. I purchased this style of lead rope because my horse can be difficult to handle on the ground. It's just unsafe for me to have to unhook the chain with both hands when I'm using it. You get what you pay for. I will return it. I'm willing to pay twice as much for one of better quality.Also, the rope is rather short, so the "10 feet long" description takes into account the chain as well.
