They are a deeper orange than I thought they’d be. Bought them for my daughters Halloween costume.. she’s 10, slim, and tall and the small fits her great. Came in fast which is what I needed.I purchased these for a costume that my daughter will wear for Halloween, so she hasn't worn them all day yet. But she did try them on. She is tiny for her age, so I usually need to go by height and weight and not age when I purchase anything. She is 53 inches tall and 61 pounds. She normally wears a size 8 or 10, so I was going to purchase an 8-10 size but since many reviews said they run small and to size up, I went with the 10 to 14 size. I should have just bought the 8-10 size. These are too big for her. I also bought another brand in the 8-10 size. Those fit perfectly and she is more comfortable in those. I'm not sure if I am going to return these or just hang on to them until they fit her. They do seem thick enough to wear in the chilly Halloween weather when we go trick or treating. (We live in PA and it's usually chilly when we go out on Halloween. ) They also look sturdy enough that I don't think they will rip easily. My 5.5 year old daughter wore these all day long as part of her Halloween costume. No runs or snags. Thick, kept her legs warm when we Trick-or-Treated at night, so fairly opaque (like 90%?). Still in great condition after being worn all day and out at night. The size I got was 4-6 and my daughter is *almost* too tall at nearly 6, but they JUST fit her (no risk of tearing though, they were still comfortable). She's a child of average to slightly above average height for her age (45" tall, 46lb). Photos attached so you can see proportions for a top-end of sizing fit. If you have a child who is heavier set and the same height or even a little shorter, these might not fit them very well as the waist while stretchy, isn't extremely stretchy and might dig in.These run very long and slim! These are good quality opaque tights. However the size is misleading. I ordered the size 7-10 in both gold and black for my 8 yr old daughter who wears size 7 clothing (she's 53 1/2" and 60 lbs.) Both tights required A LOT of stretching and pulling to fit properly. Interestingly, the package has the following chart: size 6-8 fits heights from 45"-61" and weight of 50-62 lbs; size 8-10 fits heights from 51"-56" and weight 62-74 lbs; size 10-12 fits heights from 56"-60" and weight 74-90 lbs, etc. The package did not indicate any of these size ranges, just a size 7-10 sticker from the seller. No tags or sizes indicated on the tights themselves.I read in reviews that the quality was not good and the sizes were too small BUTI needed this for a costume and so I just had to buy. So instead of a 2-4 size that I would usually get, I got a 6-8. I’m glad I got the 6-8 because it fit perfect! So definitely SIZE UP!In regards to quality, it was a really good quality! It was sturdy enough that I cut the second pair I got so that we could use it for my kids arms for the costume and it did not run or tear. I reccomed this product, it will hold up for ballet as well.Ordered a 6-8 and it’s too small for my 6 year old. I’d order a size up.I ordered the first pair for my son for the little mermaid play. The quality is great, I bought two pair, first size was too small, he's 10 and I ordered 7-10 and they were way too small. I returned the first and ordered the next size 12-14 and they were perfect. He's a pretty slim kid, average height, so I think they definitely run small. I ordered two pair because he has 8 shows to perform, and they have held up great!
